Influencer Q&A:
The Life with Nicole
Meet the 27-year-old beauty, fashion, and lifestyle blogger based in Atlanta. “I like to share my love for easy beauty, affordable fashion, career conversations, travel, and more,” Nicole says.
Q: Tell us a bit about yourself.
A: My blog started as a hobby four years ago after visiting NYC with a friend. At first, I created a free Wordpress site to share my NYC experience. Then it went on to sharing my makeup routine, and what I was wearing to work. Towards the end of 2016, I figured that I’d take it more seriously by purchasing my own domain, and it went from there.
When I started, I had no idea what I was doing to be honest. I would just publish a blog post with two or three photos and minimal details about what I wore that day and that was it. I didn't care about the quality of my photos or anything. Honestly, I cringe looking back at my old blogging photos, but it's a part of my growth. Now four years later, I have worked with some amazing brands including Clinique, Neutrogena, Savage x Fenty, Mejuri, Dove, and Tampax (just to name a few).
Even though I have been doing this for four years, I'm still learning and still looking for ways to grow and connect with other creative entrepreneurs. My goal is to always be a resource. Every week, I utilize polls and question boxes on Insta stories to see what content my followers are looking for. I'm always reachable by DM, blog and Instagram comments for suggestions.
What are three fun facts about you?
I already make it known that I'm obsessed with fashion, but a lot of people don't know that I actually wanted to be a runway/high fashion model. I used to tune in to America's Next Top Model every week and practiced my smize (LOL).
I played the flute in middle school and I was first chair in the school's concert band.
I'm a hugeeee Real Housewives fan!! I have been rewatching all of the HW series on Hulu during quarantine!

Q: What are a few of your favorite brands?
Fitness: Pepper Boxing is such a great workout! I always burn a ton of calories and leave the class drenched in sweat.
Coffee: The Read Shop in Vinings is a cute and cozy place to read a book or grab an iced latte.
Local Creators I'm loving: @laurenelyce - I love her lifestyle content. So inspiring!
@cocobassey (now based in NYC) but she was one of the first Atlanta bloggers I followed and I love her fashion content.
Q: What are some cool collabs you have done?
A: I worked on a project with Tampax at the end of 2019 and it was one of the best projects I have worked on so far in my blogging career. When collaborating, I try to work with brands where the story is inspiring or I have shared a personal experience. I was so excited to work with them on the stigma around tampons and sharing some valuable statistics on tampon usage among African American women.
After sharing my partnership, I have received so many comments and DMs from black women sharing their experiences with me and how they relate to my story or the statistics I shared. That's when I realized I have really built a community and trust with my readers and that's my end goal when it comes to creating organic and sponsored content.
Q: How can the community support you?
A: Check out my blog and engage with me on social! I love connecting with you all. I have started a new email newsletter series and I would love for you all to check it out! I have a project in the works and I will make sure collavs is the first to know about it.
